This fall, Or Hadash welcomes Rabbi Ruth Abusch-Magder for a creative Rosh Hodesh series exploring the themes and teachings of each Jewish month through text study and art.

We’ll learn some text together, and then explore it by “making marks” - aka making art in a no-pressure environment. All are welcome! No artistic background or skill necessary!

Rabbi Ruth Abusch-Magder PhD. is a community rabbi who, in addition to facilitating life cycle events and teaching Torah, is also a Certified Jewish Studio Project Facilitator. She is an avid potter and loves to encourage the natural creativity that we all possess. She got her doctorate in Jewish women's history from Yale and has lived in Canada, Israel, Germany, and all over the United States.
