Jewish Adulting: Teen Learning at Or Hadash

Monthly Sundays, 5:00-8:00 including dinner

- 5:00 Adulting skills

- 6:00 Cooking & eating together

- 7:00 Conversation circle/ discussion

Teens in grade 8 and up: it's time to start adulting. But what does Jewish adulting look like? Join us for this monthly combination of skill-building and discussion led by Or Hadash college student Elijah Jeffres. Each topic will be explored from both a practical perspective (e.g. how do you make a shiva call, or blow shofar, or budget in a way that reflects your needs and your values?) and an ideas & conversational one (e.g. what does Judaism have to say about death and mourning, and what do you think about that? what's the role of music in Judaism, and in your spiritual life? what does Judaism teach about money, and how do you think about it?).

In between skill building and discussion, we'll make and eat dinner together each week - a skill in itself! Teens are welcome to come for the whole evening, or to only come for one part or another as it suits their interests and schedules.

Register here.
