On Monday, August 1, our Tikkun Olam Committee, with support from the Georgia Aquarium, Weber School and PTG, hosted 19 members of the Afghan families our congregation has supported this past year.

A special thanks to Ben Epstein (his Pinnacle Transportation Group provided the van drivers), Paul Ginburg & Vanessa Leibowitz of the Weber School (two vans) and the Ga Aquarium (free passes for all of us), without whom this would not have happened.

As an added bonus, CBS 46 sent a reporter who interviewed Moeen Amini, the head of the family group, about their resettlement experience. You can see watch the story from CBS 46 here.
