Bring Light Into the World Over MLK Weekend!

Please stop by Or Hadash this Sunday (1/17) between 1:00 and 3:00 pm as we join together -- even from a distance! -- to bring more light into the world with tikkun olam honoring Martin Luther King, Jr, and ritual honoring Rabbi Lauren Henderson.

In celebration of Martin Luther King weekend we are collecting food for the Community Assistance Center (CAC), which has seen an unprecedented level of need during the pandemic.

Please bring with you some of their most urgently needed items

  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Meats (chicken, tuna, ham etc)
  • Canned Pasta Meals (raviolis etc.)
  • Canned Vegetables (green beans, peas, mixed)
  • Cooking Oil (small bottles)
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Meat Entrees (canned chili, beef stew, chicken & dumplings, Hormel Completes etc)
  • Meal Helpers
  • Juice and Milk Boxes for kids
  • Rice
  • Laundry Detergent (small containers)

We will formally install Rabbi Lauren as our spiritual leader at a virtual Havdalah gathering on January 30.
This Sunday, please pick up a Havdalah kit when you come by, so we can each share in this beautiful ritual from the safety of our homes.
