Family Promise Week | December 17-23, 2017
Do you know how it feels to be hungry and without a roof over your head? Homelessness is all around us – right here in Atlanta. It brings feelings of diminished self-worth and disconnection from society. Each of us at Or Hadash can help put an end to homelessness – one family at a time. We partner with SSUMC and North Springs United Methodist Church to serve FAMILY PROMISE – the first Interfaith Hospitality Network. This unique non-profit organization, founded in Summit, New Jersey in 1986, has helped 700,000 people rebuild their lives and regain their dignity and independence in the process. Each of us can help by providing food and supplies, serving dinner, helping with homework/activities, visiting, and/or staying overnight to attend to guests and offer breakfast support. Volunteers are needed December 17-23, 2017. Your help is greatly appreciated! Contact Karen Weinberg for more information.

Sign up for Family Promise Volunteer | Help to prepare and serve meals, set up and break down rooms, and engage with families in homework, studies and crafts.

Sign Up for Family Promise Supplies/Donations | We also need to stock the pantries (food and supplies) and provide activities for Saturday afternoon. Please sign up for as many items as you wish and bring them to Or Hadash no later than Tuesday, December 19th. Please label your items “Family Promise.”

Christmas Eve Lunch at SSUMC | 12:30 pm Sunday, December 24
Let's come together as a community to serve those in need through our partnership with SSUMC. We will help prepare and serve lunch. Volunteer signup coming soon. Unable to help, but want to participate? Please consider making a donation towards the cost of food. Click here to donate online or send your check marked for the Tikkun Olam Fund.
