2019 Hunger Walk/Run | Sunday, April 28 | Share Flyer
Event opens at noon (registration and entertainment), 2:00 pm Walk/Run Begins
This year marks the 35th anniversary of Hunger Walk/Run and Or Hadash's 9th year of participation - taking steps together with our community in the fight against local hunger! In 2018, Or Hadash members raised $15,902 from a total of 242 donors and had 24 participants walking; providing 104 struggling families of four with three meals a day for an entire month! Take the next step and join our Christian, Muslim and Or Hadash friends and families in fighting hunger. Event of Honor for Melinda and Steve Wertheim | 6:00 pm Friday, May 3
Join us in paying tribute to Melinda and Steve Wertheim and strengthen the financial security of our shul. For this special musical Shabbat, beginning at 6:00 pm, we will host a reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres for all sponsors. Services follow at 7:00 pm, concluding with a scrumptious dessert oneg. Thank you for your RSVP.

54th Annual Community-Wide Holocaust Commemoration... Rain or Shine at the Memorial to the Six Million at Greenwood Cemetery. Looking for an easy, fun way to burrow a little deeper into our COH community? Why not join us at Or Hadash for our Men’s Club Annual Membership Dinner and Israeli Independence Day Celebration. Hang out with a bunch of great guys, grillin' and chillin' and learn about Men's Club as we install our new slate of officers. We offer an easy, casual way to get involved in a variety of social and service activities for one small yearly commitment of $36. We'll bring the chicken and beer... All we need is your good cheer! Each month through May 2019, explore theology with Rabbi Analia. We will discuss articles by David Hartman, A.J. Heschel, Eliezer Berkovitz, Jacob Milgrom, and Neil Gillman. Feel free to attend these sessions à la carte or step out of services to participate. No RSVP required!

Family Promise Week | Sunday, June 2 - Sunday, June 9
We are excited to be a part of an incredible volunteer opportunity in collaboration with Family Promise of North Fulton/Dekalb - ending the cycle of homelessness one family at a time. Your help is greatly appreciated! 

In order to prepare for our families, we need your help to:

1) Prepare and serve meals, set up and break down rooms, engage with families in homework, studies and crafts.

2) Stock the pantries (food and supplies) and provide activities for Saturday afternoon. Please sign-up for as many items as you wish and bring them to Sandy Springs United Methodist Church (86 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs GA; 404.255.1181: hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm) no later than Tuesday, May 28th.
