Chevruta Sessions

Chevruta: Learning, Sharing, Moving Forward

After over a year of living in the Zoom diaspora, our holy community is preparing to return to each other. Has this experience reshaped us? What do we need now? What do you want from your spiritual community as we move forward?

We invite you to join Rabbi Lauren and Dr. Amy for a small group conversation with fellow Or Hadash members.

We will investigate the following questions:

  • What have we learned about ourselves and others?
  • What have we lost? or gained?
  • What do we want to take with us moving forward?

Jewish tradition believes that the deepest learning and reflection happens in chevruta - in partnership. We hope you will join fellow congregants to reconnect, learn from one another, and share your insights and ideas. The outcome of these discussions will help tailor programming and offerings in the year to come.

For the protection and comfort of our hosts we are asking that you have completed your covid vaccination process if you sign up for a session taking place in someone's home. Many of our hosts have commitments/responsibility to young people who are not eligible for vaccinations at this time. Light refreshments will be provided at all sessions. Sessions hosted at shul will follow current in-person guidelines, and some may accommodate childcare. Look for resident specific venue details in the SignUp Genius link. Events held at COH will be in the Courtyard!
