Caregiver Support Group
The Caregiving Support Group is made up of members who may be experiencing similar challenges in caring for aging parents. This group was formed by member attendees who participated in the Weinstein Hospice presentation of elder care. For more information contact Marsha Rueff.
The Chesed Committee is made up of a community of volunteers performing bikur cholim (visiting and caring for the sick and their relatives), serving as a chevre kadisha, delivering gift bags to new babies, and helping to make a shiva minyan. Education Committee The Education Committee is made up of two sub-committees: The Machon Hadash Curriculum Committee and Parent and Youth Committee. The committees are made up of educators, facilitators, and involved parents to ensure the voice of the community is represented when it comes to our youth education and programming. The Kitchen Committee is made up of members who are responsible for helping set policies and protocols for kitchen usage and food service. They also work together to create delicious food for some Kiddushes and special events.
The Marketing Committee is made up of members who work with synagogue staff to assist in branding and creating marketing and communications for Or Hadash. For more information about the Marketing Committee contact Adam Throne or Rosie Singer.
The Membership Team is made up of members who enjoy community outreach and synagogue member engagement. This team is the fact of the community in engaging with prospective members and welcoming new members.
The Men's Club is made up of synagogue members who coordinate ushers for the High Holy Days, participate in the weekday minyan, perform tzedakah to both our shul and to the Atlanta community, host discussion groups and forums, and have fun. Or Nashim (Sisterhood)
Or Nashim 'Light of Women' is made up of synagogue members who are looking to connect and participate in inspiring and energizing programs amongst women of all ages. Or Nashim embraces the ideals of sisterhoods that have sustained and nourished Jewish women over the years. From social gatherings to social justice, we come together to learn from one another, celebrate our diversity, and have fun!
Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee is made up of members of all ages and stages who enjoy planning events, have great ideas, and are fun to work with! This committee is the fundraising arm of the synagogue. If that is you, please email Ula Zusman to join.
Tikkun Olam Committee
Tikkun Olam Committee is made up of members who enjoy working with the elderly, volunteering with programs that aid in homelessness and hunger, and much more. For more information about the Tikkun Olam Committee contact Gordon Singer.
