As we begin our 7th year at Congregation Or Hadash, many exciting things are happening.
New officers and Board members are hard at work planning for the year ahead as well as to our future facility needs.

Our membership has grown to 350 members and we are increasingly in need of larger facilities. We are pleased to tell you that we have the ability to extend our lease at the Weber School until June 2012. In the meantime we are beginning immediately to explore options to rent or buy property in the Sandy Spring area. In this economy, this is a buyer's market and a good time for us to begin this search. We will keep you informed as we continue to enjoy celebrating, praying, studying and working in our current Sanctuary and offices while we take steps to secure our permanent home for the future.

In August we will welcome in each Shabbat with a 6 PM "Nash and Networking" prior to Servicio de Shabbat. Be sure to give the office names of prospective members so we can invite them to our Membership Events.

These includes Wine and Cheese at the Rabbis' for young adults August 14th, dinner before Services on August 21st 5:30 PM and Brunch with the Rabbis on Sunday August 30th .
You are welcome to bring prospective members to join us for these events.
A new curriculum is being written for the Religious School and new learning and socializing initiatives for teens and parents will be held on Wednesdays with Rabbis Analia and Mario beginning August.

Adult Education highlights will include a new Scholars' Series, Lunch n'Learn on "Israel, What's hot and What's not" in addition to our ongoing successful movies series, book club, Havdallah and Hasbarah, classes with our Rabbis and Hebrew teacher.
Our new Tikkun Olam project will be a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) bringing us the opportunity to work with local farmers and receive fresh produce throughout the season.

This is just a small sampling of the many things planned to help us continue to find intellectual and spiritual growth and meaningful relationships within our Or Hadash family.
